GIAGUARO

Giaguaro was created for the Italian band Riviera, from their 2018 album Contrasto. The visual direction explores an oniric, raw, and tactile atmosphere, using collage, photography, and layered textures. I wanted the imagery to feel imperfect and handmade, drawing from the visual language of fanzines, cut-and-paste graphics, and experimental printmaking. I started by cutting and manipulating found images, applying colour treatments and combining photographs with scanned textures. These elements were then layered and animated to create a fragmented, dreamlike sequence. The cheetah became the central visual element, its movement built frame by frame through overlapping layers, creating a sense of rhythm and continuous transformation.
